Drop of a Dime brings unique creators together! Created in February 2010 the DOAD project combines original roots of world music, jazz and Rap all together. With a background that includes voodoo and Death metal as well as classical and Jazz, DOAD Band members balance many original elements together to create an amazing universe rich in texture and colors!

DROP OF A DIME RELEASE IS FIRST SINGLE AND VIDEO CLIP: “CHARLES MANSON” FEATURING EXCLUSIVE EXCERPTS OF CHALRES MANSON’s VOICE.

Montreal, December 7, 2010: Musical group DROP OF A DIME introduces its first uncut single and video clip titled “CHARLES MANSON”. Inspired by Marlin Marynick’s book published by Cogito Media Group, the song uses a collage of Manson’s own voice in a poetic, ironic, and disturbing account of his universe! The use of these excerpts for the song was made possible through Marynick’s exclusive recording of phone conversations with Manson during the summer of 2010. DROP OF A DIME presents with originality an uncensored Charles Manson in his own words.

DROP OF A DIME brings together 5 unique musical innovators! Created in February 2010, the DOAD project combines original roots of metal, jazz and Rap. With a background that includes Spoken Word and Death Metal as well as classical and Jazz, DOAD band members include many original elements to create an amazing universe rich in texture and colors! The band members are Lucky Lex/Vocals and Rime, Ian Dragon/Guitar, Theo Paquin/Drums and Francois Turgeon/Bass. Stephan Dastous is featured as a special guest on vocals for “Charles Manson”. The band worked with renowned producer Michel Lefrançois at Studio 451 in Montreal for the final recording.

Drop of a dime is an independent band. They are unsigned and have auto produced the recording and the video clip “Charles Manson”. DOAD is currently looking for representation and distribution.

François Turgeon, as an Art Director has extensive experience in cultural administration and the creative sector. He has distinguished himself in the areas of multimedia production and project management as well as book design. He produced For Transit the #1 New York Times Best-Seller Unmasked, The Final Years of Michael Jackson by Ian Halperin. Turgeon has also produced over 100 interactive works and co-directed several products in book design, website design and music production. In 2009, He had the project to redesign Eureka.cc, one of the Leader in News provider. With over 90 millions online articles, Eureka is one of the biggest database in Canada for News/Media.  Also he co-directed several interactive products, such as the digital library iThèque, as well as the album Masi Cho by the artist NEeMA (www.neema.ca).

His many accomplishments have led him to work and travel in Europe, the USA, Peru and Mexico. He has the ability to successfully develop projects in terms of financing and management, as well as to manage and motivate teams of multimedia production, including authors, musicians, programmers and designers.


Francois Turgeon also produce and direct the single and video clip Charles Manson for his Band Drop of a dime. The song was Inspired by Marlin Marynick’s book published by Cogito Media Group.
