COGITO MEDIA GROUP ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF "CHARLES MANSON NOW"
Charles Manson Turns 76 Years-Old Today (Born: November 12, 1934)
November 12, 2010—Kurrant Mobile Catering dba Cogito Media Group (KRMC.OB), Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is thrilled to announce its new book, Charles Manson Now. Through a direct and personal relationship with Charles Manson, the author and psychiatric specialist Marlin Marynick presents deep, thought-provoking insight into the mind and soul of the man who continues to generate public curiosity and fear.
Pierre Turgeon, President of Cogito Media Group comments:
"Helter Skelter, the most popular true crime book ever, has sold over 7 million copies worldwide. We are very optimistic that Charles Manson Now will also become a bestseller given the new and shocking revelations it contains. Author Marlin Marynick challenges the official account of what happened forty-one years ago, when Manson family members stormed the Polanski estate and murdered five people, among them one of America’s most beautiful, beloved actresses, Sharon Tate-Polanski."
Author Marlin Marynick, talks about his most astonishing revelations:
“The murders were horrific, worse than I could imagine, going into that part of the story was an undertaking. The more I learned, the less I knew.” Marynick also states: “I am a registered psychiatric nurse, and part of a crisis response team, I’ve always thought of Manson as the ‘godfather’ of madness. Talking to Charles Manson was something I never thought would ever happen, that our relationship would develop in the way it did, and that we eventually met each other was unreal. At times he was engaging, funny and prophetic. At other times, he was sick, vile, and the most narcissistic person I ever met.”
Manson writes about prison life in the foreword of the book:
“When you’re raised up in a prison you learn all the tricks, and you figure out all the reasons why everything happens. You know the game better than they do. So you are a warden, you are more of a warden than the warden is. He calls you into his office, but it’s actually your office. He’s over there because you allow him to be there. The prison becomes your mind, because people come in, and people go out. People get jobs, and they serve a function, and abide by certain rules, and there is nobody there but you!”
The publication date of Charles Manson Now by Marlin Marynick is November 30, 2010.
Trade Paper: $16.95 USA, $17.95 CAN (ISBN: 978-2-923865-06-5). Pages: 416, Photos: 27
